KESTREL AT HARTLEPOOL 500 PIECE JIGSAW TRAIN PUZZLE
Other Peope Also Bought...
Set in the early 1960s, talented artist David Noble has painted this wonderful scene of the Peppercorn class A1 pacific 'Kestrel' as it leaves Hartlepool.
As with all Gibsons jigsaws, we use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and work with the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together; in fact, we use the thickest puzzle board on the market. Everyone loves a Gibsons jigsaw, even Her Majesty the Queen has been spotted with one.
We’ve made some positive changes to our processes, so you can be sure you’re getting the same great puzzles and know that they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but we’ve used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap to reduce our plastic waste.
There is a gloss coating on the box for extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils. Because the box is slightly smaller than our previous designs, we need less room to transport our products which reduces our carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. We have also popped an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.
- Made from thick, durable board that is 100% recycled
- Puzzle size 48x34cm when complete
About the Artist
Leaving school in 1960, Dave worked at a local colliery for 12 years as an electrician, all the time painting and sketching his experiences in the dangerous working environment of the coal mine. In 1972, he won a scholarship to Ruskin College, Oxford and after completing his studies at Oxford and Hull Universities in 1978, he took up teaching at Rotherham College. His love of steam engines and railways in general were directly inspired by his childhood experiences at Mexborough loco shed, where his father worked as a driver right up until the shed's closure in 1965. Now retired, he devotes more time to painting and drawing, whilst keeping busy fulfilling many commissions.

Top tip: Try and grab our attention – what is it about your new toy/board game/idea that will capture the imagination of customers?
As a business we want to do business the right way. Our customers can always buy from us in the comfort we maintain the highest ethical standards and protect our planet from waste and emissions. We therefore only stock from companies committed to reducing the amount of plastic in their packaging and supply chain and use only sustainable, recyclable packaging for deliveries.
Additionally, we believe customers should feel comfortable the shops they buy from treat their staff and their suppliers well. We are committed to paying – at a minimum - a living wage to all employees, moreover, we will not use delivery companies that fail to ensure guaranteed wages and pensions for their employees.
As a result of our commitment and following review of all potential suppliers, all of our deliveries for 2020 are to be distributed by Royal Mail.
Concerned an item we stock or something we do does not meet these high standards? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you.
