What The Reviews Say About The Mind Card Game

Shut Up and Sit Down Blog:

"The Mind is one of the very best games that I have played this year. In the last twelve months. In the last twenty-four. Brace yourself, plant your feet, tense your muscles and tug that timeline back as far as you want and I think The Mind is still one of the very best games I have played between now and whenever. I have written so much about it and yet I still can’t communicate its gentle brilliance."

Board Game Geek:

I have to be honest: I didn’t think the central mechanic would work that well. But it does, and the first time we played it, I found it novel and fascinating. The Mind is one of those highly addictive games that you’ll want to play again and again.

The Mind Card Game Description

The best game right now that can bring at least 10 minutes of peace and quiet to any household!

Ready to become telepathic? Your group challenge is to lay the cards in ascending number order. Sounds simple? Of course, but you can only you do it without speaking, without communication, using just the power of your mind!

With over one million copies sold, a number of industry awards and nominations, come on board for this journey and see if you have what it takes to beat ‘The Mind’.

Together, we shall become one!

What’s in The Mind Card Game Box?

How to play The Mind Card Game:

You start the game with a number of lives equal to the number of players. In a level, each player receives a hand of cards equal to the number of the level: one card in level 1, two cards in level 2 and so on.

Collectively you must play these cards into the centre of the table on a single discard pile in ascending order but you cannot communicate with one another in any way as to which cards you hold. You simply stare into one another’s eyes, and when you feel the time is right, you play your lowest card. If no one holds a card lower than what you played, great, the game continues! If someone did, all players discard face up all cards lower than what you played, and the team loses one life.

Throwing star: each player discards their lowest card face up, giving everyone information and getting you closer to completing the level.

When certain levels are completed, you’ll be rewarded with additional lives or throwing stars.

The game ends in two ways:

  • You complete all the levels with at least one life remaining. Congratulations, you have collectively beaten the game and proven you are truly telepathic!
  • You lose all your lives. The Mind has won!

The Mind Bonus Game!

For an extra challenge, play The Mind in extreme mode with all played cards going onto the stack face down. You don’t look at the cards played until the end of a level, losing lives at that time for cards played out of order.

We therefore only stock from companies committed to reducing the amount of plastic in their packaging and supply chain and use only sustainable, recyclable packaging for deliveries.

Additionally, we believe customers should feel comfortable the shops they buy from treat their staff and their suppliers well. We are committed to paying – at a minimum - a living wage to all employees, moreover, we will not use delivery companies that fail to ensure guaranteed wages and pensions for their employees.

As a result of our commitment and following review of all potential suppliers, all of our deliveries for 2020 are to be distributed by Royal Mail.
